Wauchope Public School Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week

In Term 2 of 2016, the Wauchope Public School community acknowledged and celebrated Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week through art, song, music and storytelling.

Every member of the school community decorated a cardboard cut-out to represent themselves. These ‘little people’, as they became known, were assembled hand-to-hand as a sign of friendship and harmony to create a Garden of Reconciliation which was captured on film.

Every student played a part in the presentation of an inspirational NAIDOC assembly which was the final event in a busy NAIDOC Week. We appreciate the members of our local Aboriginal community who helped out during the week.
